Grinx Species Sheet Ver. 2.1

 General Description 

- Grinx grow to be around 180 cm at the forehead, and some chiefs grown to even be as tall as 220 cm after ascension to their new rank. 
- They are very intelligent and social creatures, and can communicate with humans using human speech! Their natural sounds consists of arrays of grunts and whines though.
- They use their tusks for digging up roots and mushrooms as well as fight off intruders. Grinx are usually very calm and friendly, curious at most, but if they feel threatened they will start a rampage while bellowing loudly to scare off enemies. 
- The crystal growing from they bodies shines brightly in the dark, and the Grinx with the most impressive glow to their crystal will have a better chance at impressing others. 
- Grinxs' makes both pig-like and horse-like sounds. The first one being used for socializing and the second one being used for challenging each other. They can make a deep bellowing sound when they need to act tough.
- Grinxs' are found mostly around forests and at the feet of mountains. They like mossy areas that contains a lot of insects and nuts, but they can be seen travelling to places where fruit can be found. 


 Heads, ears and tusks:

- The variation of heads aren't that big. They can be long-snouted and short-snouted. Their upper jaw can be big or small and the same with their lower jaw. Most of the time Grinx look the same in general anatomy. 
- The ears varies a lot, as they can both be very fluffy or less fluffy. They can be pointy or round, double (though this is ultra rare) and very small. The most common type of ears are big with a lot of fluff. The ears shows a lot of emotion, and are used when socialising. Therefore having big ears is a plus.
- Tusks varies a lot too, but big tusks are to be preferred. They can however be both very small and turn downwards. Tusks can both be swirly, double, long and normal in length and shape. The tusks are used as digging tools and weapons.


 Tails, fur and additionals:

- Grinx have a large variety of tails. The tail will always have a bone inside it, and can therefor not only be made of hair. 
- The fur varies a lot from each Grinx. It can be long, short, smooth, sleek, curly, puffy and so on. 
- Some Grinx can have additional appendages like horns and spikes growing from their body!


 Diet, paws and eyes:

- During spring and summer, Grinx will hunt for insects and pick fruits and berries from trees and bushes. Their small claws gives them the opportunity to climb trees, but they are more comfortable on the ground and will climb to get fruit. 
- During fall and winter, Grinx will dig for roots and collect mushrooms. They will also collect nuts and whatever insects they can find. 
- Their paws are quite large and a bit clumsy, but some Grinx have smaller paws. The paws have retractable claws, but these are only meant for climbing, not for fighting. The paws have a small "thumb" that can be used for holding things.
- The eyes of a Grinx reacts greatly to sunlight, and the pupils are able to contract and dilate. The pupils can have different shapes of any kind, and can vary greatly in colors!
